Dear Poets
You are invited to come and share in a two day residential workshop at Woody’s Top Youth Hostel near Louth, (LN11 8RQ) from Tuesday October 20th to Thursday 22nd. deep in the Lincolnshire Wolds – a beautiful intriguing landscape.
Come and help realise a creative community where you and your fellow writers have time, space and stimulus to inspire new work. The workshop will be led by Paul Sutherland, editor of Dream Catcher and published author of six collections, and Christopher Sanderson who, a fine author in his own right, has hosted the highly creative and successful Louth Poetry Group for the last three years. He is also Lincolnshire’s Stanza representative for the Poetry Society.
We want to bring together a highly creative community. There will be opportunities for one to one consultation with workshop leaders, group participation and individual time and networking. We want to forge a friendly supportive atmosphere to helps us all be our most imaginative and engaged. Who knows who will come and participate, what does ‘joining’ mean, or how will the group diffuse and develop beyond those two days, what does ‘parting’ mean? In the workshops we’ll explore themes relevant to ‘us being together’ as well as themes related to the immediate environment, the historic Wolds. See our website (www.lincolnshirepoetry.co.uk) for details of the programme. There will be time for you to perform what you’ve written as well.
The two day residential costs £70.00. We are also offering a non-residential fee £50.00. Priority will be given to residential places. Cheques should be made payable to Dream Catcher and sent the Editor, Dream Catcher, Jasmine Cottage, 4 Church St, Market Rasen, LN8 3ET
We already have with us a poet-fiction writer from London who’s had a manuscript accepted by Cinnamon Press and a poet from Grimsby who has started writing again after a twenty year lapse. Book a place and join us at Woody’s Top to write, share and develop. We have room for 18 residents plus the two workshop leaders. Breakfast and Lunches will be self-catering from provided food supplies and the two evening meals a joint undertaking to be arranged. Christopher and I look forward to hearing from you.
